Once dubbed America’s Ultimate Surf Park, First Peak was an epitome of everything that is American. Even though the peak was an accident, in its day First Peak was a marvel of surfing wave technology. The reflected wave energy bouncing off the jetty created some of the most radical surfing waves known to man. With First Peak’s greatness, an industry grew and flourished. Not to say that the American surfing economy is not strong but remember; we are Americans. Americans make things stronger. Americans make things greater.

As Americans, we embrace our position in the world as representatives of freedom. When an incredible opportunity presents itself, we reserve the right to execute our freedom and pursue that opportunity. Notwithstanding, Americans now embrace the newly realized responsibility to improve our relationship with the planet, the climate, the land, and the sea. Restoring First Peak represents more than the ability to restore an incredible surfing wave. It represents our appreciation of wave energy, sand transport, inlet management, surfonomics, and the ecology. Creating economic engines that are integral to improving environmental health are vital to America’s continued prosperity and greatness. It’s no longer what many call the Green Economy. Restoring First Peak is part of the Red, White, and Blue Economy.
Restoring First Peak represents our freedom as Americans to pursue greatness.
As Americans, we carry our heads high. We’re proud of our county. We’re proud of willingness to change. And we’re proud of our surfing waves. Waves such as First Peak have done great things to help us spread our values as American. Think about First Peak helping to create surfing champions such as Kelly Slater and CJ Hobgood. Not only are CJ and Kelly champions, but also they are incredible ambassadors of our American spirit of competition and patriotism. By restoring First Peak, we open the door to the new generation of patriotic surfers, ready and willing to take our message of freedom abroad.
It is time to make First Peak great again.
Surfing wave technology is here. Sand transport technology has been here. We all embrace the need to protect and preserve nature. All we need is political will and the will of the surfing community. As patriotic Americans we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. The pursuit to restore First Peak is part of that mission.
